Polio is a potentially deadly infection that most commonly affects children under the age of 5. It can paralysis as the virus attack the nervous system. The virus is spread through contaminated water.
Nearly 3 billion children in 122 countries have been protected with the support of Rotary members. Over $2.1 billion has been raised to help eradicate Polio.
